Manhattan Diary – The New York City

Last weekend, we drove to New York for a short getaway. If you have heard this before, yes I can confirm, the New York City is a crowded place for sure. So, finding a less busy spot for some outfit pictures wasn’t an easy thing. I wore nothing fancy but denim pants and a t-shirt – a timeless combo that never goes out of style. Since the rain was on the forecast, and I was planning to stay in the city till late to get a glimpse of its night life and spectacular lighting in the Times Square and Midtown Manhattan, I took a light jacket with me. It was so light weight and wrinkle-free, so I could just rolled into my bag without any hassle.

Although I really don’t recommend any sort of heels for a city exploration, I wore my lemon yellow wedges this time. I knew they are comfortable enough to walk around, but didn’t know it would support hours of walking in the New York City streets and the Central Park. One thing I would suggest is that never to wear new shoes to any occasion if you don’t want to take a risk or don’t have a second pair handy with you. I remember I had a hard time walking in my new flats (yes, flats!) in the Streets of America during my Disney World trip in Orlando last year.
